Summer is coming! If you are due for well visit this spring or summer, please contact us now to schedule an appointment. Our spring and summer appointments fill quickly. In order to complete school, camp, or employment forms, we must have seen you for a well visit within the last year. Some insurance companies support a check-up once per calendar year, and some support one per 365 days. Please check your policy to know which guideline your insurance company follows. In order to complete sports forms, we must have seen the patient after May 1st of the previous school year (this is a VHSL requirement). In addition to our regular weekday appointments, The Kidz Docs is offering Saturday morning visits on May 3rd and May 24th reserved for our middle and high school student athletes. Rising 6th-12th graders planning to play sports for the 2025-26 school year will be able to complete their well visit and/or sports physical for the year. These Saturday morning appointments are available on a first-come first-served basis. Patients may have their sports form completed during their annual well visit. If their team or school requires a more recent physical, patients should schedule a sports physical appointment; there is a $75 dollar fee as sports physicals are not required by insurance. Please note that VHSL has just changed their previous May 1st requirement; sports forms now expire 14 months after the date of the exam. https://www.vhsl.org/vhsl-physical-form/. Patients are responsible for knowing their team's participation requirements. Please call or send a portal message to schedule your child’s yearly check-up or sports physical, and make sure they’re ready for the summer and the coming school year. We look forward to seeing you soon! The Kidz Docs
