Telehealth appointments are available every day at the Kidz Docs!
As part of an initiative pioneered by Dr. Meghan Hulver, The Kidz Docs began offering telehealth appointments in 2018. This is a face-to-face appointment utilizing an app called HEALOW on your smart phone. You don’t have to come into the office! (You don’t even have to leave your couch!) Telehealth appointments are available throughout our business hours, as well as evenings and weekend mornings.
There are many, many types of appointments that are appropriate through this virtual platform:
o ADHD diagnosis, medication counseling, and follow-up appointments
o Anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns
o Parenting concerns
- Sleep counseling and training
- Behavior problems
- School readiness
- Potty Training
- COVID-19 risk mitigation
o Feeding problems and questions
o Obesity and exercise counseling
o Learning challenges and IEP/504 counseling
o Asthma, Allergy and Eczema medication management and follow-up (long standing)
o Teen feminine problems and concerns
o Laboratory requests and follow-up
o COVID-19 exposure (with follow-up outdoor testing at our office)
o Acute illness (the physician may advise a follow-up in person exam depending on patient symptoms)
o And more! Just call and ask if you concern could be discussed via telemedicine.
- Call the office to make an appointment just as you would an in-office appointment.
- Be sure you can log in to your patient portal account for the correct child.
- Download the HEALOW app on your phone, and log in to join the “Virtual Waiting Room” up to 15min before your scheduled appointment time.
- Enter your child's weight, height, and temperature in the "Vitals" section.
- Wait for the physician or NP to join your appointment.
o If you are using a Mac, please use Google Chrome. Use your phone if the computer won't work.

o Please send any additional documentation (ADHD screening forms, rash photos, etc) to [email protected] prior to your appointment.
o If you are in a different time zone, be sure you know your appointment is in Eastern Standard Time.
o For your own safety, please do not drive during the appointment.
o Cancellations must be made >24 hours in advance just like regular appointments.
o If teens would like to meet with the doctor on their own, we need the parental consent form completed prior to our visit. This form is available on our website under the “forms” tab.
o Your insurance will likely cover your visit. However, just like regular in-office visits, your co-pays and any other co-insurance costs like deductibles will be applied and collected. Your co-pay can be paid through the patient portal.
