Dr. Larkin was raised in Florida, but has lived in Alexandria since 1977. She had been married to her husband, Mike (retired from the Air Force, then worked for Lockheed-Martin, retired again, and passed away in 2014), for over forty-six years and they have three married children and now six grandchildren. After being a homemaker for eleven years, she attended George Mason University to finish her B.S. degree, and then went on to George Washington University for her M.D. Completing her training; she finished her internship and residency in Pediatrics at Georgetown University. At that time she joined Wineland, Wilmot, and May, MD's on Belle Haven Road, and she has continued to practice Pediatrics at 1451 Belle Haven Road since that time.
Dr. Larkin has a special interest in special-needs children, foreign adoptees, and asthma. Her outside interests include her church work, cooking and especially sewing.
