College - Activities
There are many familiar and many new activities in which to participate at college. We at The Kidz Docs suggest that your collegiate participate in both the old and the new. The familiar activities give a sense of history and are less stressful than activities which require acclimation to new rules as well as new friends.
Sororities and fraternities can be especially difficult during the first year of college. They place heavy time burdens on first-year students who may already be struggling with time-management problems. Discuss time commitments with your collegiate during the first months of college and suggest that he or she make a realistic schedule of activities, both academic and social.
